It's Time!

Okay world... here goes!  I have desired to start a blog for probably 5 years now. Every summer I make an attempt to start but it never goes past one, maybe two posts.  In my mind I am thinking... what do I have to share, there are already a TON of teacher bloggers, who is going to listen to me and plus I don't have a cute blog.  Well guess what?? It doesn't matter anymore.  After working on my Master's Degree for the past year and reading the book The Innovator's Mindset by George Couros, I know it is important for me to begin my digital portfolio.

I have been given an amazing opportunity to open a new school in my district and I am BEYOND excited!  With this new opportunity comes lots of changes.  Another new school for my girls... they are such great sports, I get to teach 1st grade, and there will be many opportunities for leadership positions.  It is time for me to document everything I do in my classroom so that I can look back and see what I do from year to year and see how I grow.  I want my students to see the growth they make throughout the year, so I need to document my growth as well! Of course I won't be able to blog without sharing about my family...so along the way you will learn about them as well.

So with that said...  here's to blogging!
